Principal

Mr. Christopher Bowen is the Principal of Revere High School. Chris is dedicated to creating an inclusive, restorative, and academically rigorous school culture that prepares our students to achieve our Vision of the Graduate. He is passionate about providing competency-based learning experiences, ensuring every student is known and supported, and developing personalized learning pathways so that all students can connect their learning to meaningful college, career, and life opportunities. He began his career as a middle school math teacher and later served as a teacher, class advisor, and alternative program coordinator at Framingham High School, before joining RHS in 2018 as 9th Grade Academy Assistant Principal. He holds degrees in Mathematics, Sociology, and Educational Leadership from Boston College, along with a Graduate Certificate in Restorative Practices from the International Institute of Restorative Practices. Above all, Chris is committed to ensuring our school provides Revere's young people with the deeper learning experiences necesary to develop competencies that all students to graduate ready to thrive in the world beyond high school. He is excited to work with the Revere High School Community to build a school culture that is inclusive, restorative and focussed on academic excellence through deeper learning.

RHS Assistant Principal
Ms. Julianne Falzarano is the Assistant Principal for Student Support Team 2. A Revere High School graduate, she has been working in Revere Public Schools since 2007 as a Mathematics/Business Teacher at RHS as well as the Head Coach of the RHS Cheerleading Team. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Northeastern University and continued her studies receiving a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Lesley University and most recently earned her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership through the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is passionate about involving students in decision making, creating exciting learning pathways, and helping students make connections in the building as well as with our Revere Community that will provide them with the resources to succeed while at RHS and beyond. RHS Assistant Principal

Ms. Afton Dean is the Assistant Principal for Student Support Team 4 at Revere High School. Prior to Revere High School, she spent ten years in the Lynn Public Schools as an Instructional Technology Teacher. Ms. Dean holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from Bentley University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Southern New Hampshire University and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Gordon College. With a passion for equipping students with college and career readiness skills, Ms. Dean is dedicated to promoting a safe and supportive environment that fosters learning and success for all students. She is also the proud handler of Bentley, our school therapy dog.

RHS Assistant Principal

Lena Marie Rockwood, Ed.D. is the Assistant Principal for Student Support Team 1. She has been working in the RPS district since 1999. She taught science at GMS for eight years and was an assistant principal at Lincoln Elementary for seven years, Rumney Marsh Academy for three years before moving to the high school in 2017 as the Freshman Academy Assistant Principal for the Class of 2021. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education at Salem State and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She has completed the Certificate in School Management and Leadership (CSML), which is a joint program of the Harvard School of Education and the Harvard Business School. Dr. Rockwood is a passionate reader who continues to encourage students (and adults) to read for pleasure in an effort to help them develop a lifelong love of reading. She is actively involved with the International Literacy Association and has been on the Social Justice Literature Award Committee for several years. When not at school, she will most likely be found reading a book or assembling a jigsaw puzzle.
