Humanities Curriculum Director.  Dr. Christina Porter is a National Board Certified Teacher of English (NBCT) and is currently the Director of Humanities for Revere Public Schools. Dr. Porter has worked in Revere since 2001 as a high school English teacher, reading interventionist, and literacy coach. Dr. Porter is the site coordinator for the Salem State CAGS in Educational Leadership Program in Revere, where she is also a professor. Outside of Revere, Dr. Porter is a Folger Shakespeare Library Teaching Fellow, and a Teach Plus Education Policy Fellow. She also served as the policy analyst for Massachusetts for the National Council of Teachers of English. She has been published in English Journal, ASCD Perspectives, and Professional Development in Education. Christina holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Saint Anselm College, a Master’s degree in Adolescent Literacy from Tufts University, and a doctorate in Leadership in Urban Schools from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.  Her research focus is English Language Learners with Limited or Interrupted Formal Education (SLIFE). Christina's greatest accomplishments are her two daughters, Norah And Evelyn.
